At Arabic & Beyond Cultural Center we are a family of immigrants with unique and inspiring stories. Each one of us has faced the challenges and joys that come with starting a new life in a foreign land. We understand the trials and triumphs of the immigrant journey, which is why we are passionate about guiding others who are going through the same experiences.
We not only strive to support and empower our fellow immigrants but also work tirelessly to introduce our rich Arab and Middle Eastern culture to others. In all our cultural events and activities, we extend a warm invitation to people from diverse backgrounds to join us, fostering a spirit of inclusivity and appreciation.
The mission of the Heritage School at Arabic & Beyond Cultural Center is to nurture and empower young minds aged 6 to 12 with a deep appreciation for Arab and Middle Eastern cultures. Through engaging and immersive educational experiences, we aim to instill cultural pride, foster intercultural understanding, and promote cross-cultural friendships. We strive to create an inclusive and supportive learning environment that equips children with the knowledge, values, and skills to thrive in a diverse world while preserving their cultural heritage.
As an immigrant herself, Sahar arrived in the USA in 2007 with her two young children, one of whom had special needs. Determined to create a bright and successful future, Sahar became a single mother entrepreneur by starting her own childcare business. Through her daycare, she not only cared for children but also became a source of information and support for families in need, learning about their struggles and helping them adapt to the new culture.
